Course Description:
This program will provide clinicians with a review of timely advances in medicine, as new treatments, both procedural and pharmaceutical are increasingly being utilized for acute and chronic disease in inpatient and outpatient practices. One of the major barriers to learners is incorporating newly acquired knowledge into practice situations. This seminar will specifically address gaps in knowledge developing from controversial issues in internal medicine, new guidelines, management strategies and the use of approved medications for these diseases. This seminar will provide the practitioners with evidenced-based concrete approaches to these diseases and provide information regarding cutting edge technologies. The material will be presented in lecture format. Attendee will have ample opportunity to ask questions and interact with the experience faculty and members of the Nigerian Nurses Association of USA.
Objectives:
The overall objective of this program is to improve clinical practice and improve the health status of our patients. Physicians and Nurses should be aware of many complex management strategies available for the treatment of acute and chronic diseases in order to minimize complications and mortality.
