Q: What Is The Mission, Vision, And Objectives Of Nigerian Nurses Association (NNAUSA)

A: NNAUSA’s mission is to improve the health of the communities that NNAUSA serve thought health education and free health screening, assist members to attain highest professional growth, improve nursing education standard in Nigeria.

The vision is to be at the forefront of health promotion in Nigerian communities and other communities in the United States and Africa.

The main objective is to collaborate/partner with other organizations to promote health maintenance and well being among Nigerians, other communities in the United States, and in Africa.

Q: Who Can Join NNAUSA?

A: NNAUSA membership is open to any Registered Nurse (RN) living in the United States, who is a Nigerian as defined by the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, or as may be amended from the time to time.

Q: How Do I Become A Member?

A: Any RN desiring membership can register with the secretary during a general business meeting at any time during the fiscal year (January-December)

Q: How Much Is The Registration Fee?

A: Registration fee for a new member is a non refundable (one time payment) of fifty dollars ($50.00 USD). This fee is subjected to change without notice.

Q: How Much Is The Annual Membership Fee?

A: A one hundred dollars ($100.00 USD) membership fee shall be paid annually regardless of attendance to meetings. And a one hundred NNAUSA welfare (sunshine) fee shall be paid annually. Deadline for payment for both fees ($200.00) is September 30 of the same year.

Q: What Are The Criteria For NNAUSA Active Membership or a Member In Good Standing?

A: A member who has paid in full all dues payable for the current year by September 30, deadline. A member who has attended at least 50% of all general business meeting for the year. And a member who has attended at all least 30% of all NNAUSA activities for the fiscal year (January-December).

Q: What Are My Benefits For Being a NNAUSA Member?

A: NNAUSA active members are entitled to NNAUSA membership, networking around USA, as well as Nigeria and Africa at large, a copy of NNAUSA constitution booklet, NNAUSA Business Card, NNAUSA Newsletter and reduced rate/discount for NNAUSA educational seminars.

Q: What Are The Responsibilities of an Active NNAUSA Member?

A: An active members in addition to paying all dues, attending 50% of general business meetings, and attended 30% of NNAUSA activities, must also recruit new members for the association, volunteer to participate in planning and execution of NNAUSA events, contribute to NNAUSA journals & newspapers and refrain from any act that can bring or expose the Association to ridicule.

Q: What Is NNAUSA Honorary Membership?

A: NNAUSA Honorary membership is open to any retired registered Nurse (RN) and non Nigerian who are married to Nigerians, and whom NNAUSA members deems worthy of such recognition.

Q: When Can I Withdraw My Membership from NNAUSA?

A: A member may withdraw from the Association at anytime by notifying the Secretary in writing.
